The 2nd annual "Ty Nant Classic" took place at
Llyn Brenig reservoir on 23rd July 2000. 90 anglers from
Scotland, Ireland, England & Wales pitted their skills
against each other in testing weather conditions.
The top 3 places went to Welsh anglers: 1st Garry Davies
from North Wales with 20lbs of fish; 2nd Ned Thomas; 3rd
a local angler, Tony Bevan, a member of the successful
Llanilar AA fly fishing team, also sponsored by Ty Nant.
As this event continues to grow in popularity and with
the possibility that we may see anglers from the Italian
World Cup squad competing next year, places to fish are
going to be much in demand.

TY NANT CHARITY ABSEIL
In July this year, 4 brave members of staff took the
plunge and abseiled 30 metres down the side of Bronglais
Hospital, Aberystwyth, Mid Wales. In doing so they
collectively raised over £300 for the RNIB. It was a
glorious day & it was a wonderful view of the town and
coastline from that height!
The four were Margaret Whittingham, Nicole Seebold,
Dylan Price and Neil Palmer.

TY NANT AND THE DESIGNERS
Ty Nant Spring Water took to the catwalk during London
Fashion Week in February 2000 with their support of
leading British womenswear designer, Julien MacDonald,
who created a Ty Nant inspired couture dress for his
'Modern Skins' Autumn/Winter 2000/01 collection.
The exquisite white couture dress, inspired by "the
purity of Ty Nant", enthused Julien MacDonald, was
of intricate crocheting, incorporating crystals and
beads and was modelled by Naomi Campbell as the opening
piece to the collection.

TY NANT SUPPORT FOR LONDON FASHION WEEK
13-17TH FEBRUARY 2000
Ty Nant increased their marketing profile as official
supplier of bottled water at London Fashion Week this
February. The partnership with London Fashion Week adds
glamorous associations to Ty Nant's heritage. The world's
most celebrated buyers, models and press were given
Ty Nant as they were chauffeured between shows. Ty
Nant was also available throughout the London Fashion
Week exhibition and in the VIP press and buyer lounges.
Commenting on Ty Nant's support for British fashion,
Julien MacDonald said "without the help of Ty Nant,
many things could not come alive, like the models and
special couture pieces worn by celebrities such as
Whitney Houston and the Spice Girls".
Speaking about his own Welsh heritage Julien MacDonald
added, "I am very proud to be Welsh. I was brought
up drinking Welsh water and as I drink 4-5 bottles a day
I feel that by drinking Ty Nant I am drinking from my
native land".

TY NANT & THE ARTISTS
The basis of the collection, which celebrates the bottle,
its colour shape and contents, started when Pietro Biscaldi,
Ty Nant's Managing Director invited eminent Italian artist
Mario Schifano to work on a series incorporating the
imagery of the Ty Nant bottle. The resulting work, more
than mere advertising, exploits the strong impact of the
blue bottle and treats it as an icon.
The travelling exhibition, which features 60 works of art
by well-known contemporary Italian artists, has already
shown in Milan, London and Barcelona and will go on to tour
capital and major cities throughout Europe and the USA,
including Brussels, Paris, Cardiff, and New York.

speciality food & drink exhibition in New York in a
focused effort to help develop sales in North America.
This is the first US exhibition at which Ty Nant has
exhibited independently (as part of the Food From
Britain/WDA pavilion), and was a perfect showcase for
the recently launched crimson bottle, which was
extremely well received by the US speciality trade.
